Richard Smith from New York :

The Chines government has been thumbing its nose at the WTO, at the UN, at climate scientists, at all manner of international laws and regulations designed to restrain pollution, overfishing, deforestation, protection of threatened species, not to mention its lawless and brutal occupations of Tibet, Xinjiang, Inner Mongolia and so on for decades before Donald Trump came on the scene. They're not reacting to U.S. recklessness. Their callous and wanton recklessness is intrinsic to the nature of their party-state.

Belden :

Since the U.S. Trump Administration has thumbed its nose at measures to slow the growth of greenhouse gas emissions, how could we be surprised at the Chinese government's similarly reckless behavior?
