No ASEAN member is a true human right activist or is truly sensitive to the issue. One member fears another for interfering its internal affairs. ASEAN is not really an organization by standard but by name. Expecting human rights to be practical in ASEAN? Forget it.

Reply to this commentASEAN community will not be completely integrated and successful without the ASEAN addressing the human right issue uniformly. The human right issue will create tensions and undermine the creditability of ASEAN.
