Kafkaesque absurdity has always been a feature of dictatorships. I wonder why the Chinese people allow perpetuation of the rule of princelings and their hired hands.

China under single-party Leninist authoritarian rule is a throwback to age of medieval inquisitions and harsh punishment of thought crimes. It's indeed a sort of time warp.
